Otway Mushroom Fungi Group (OMFG) is a group of volunteer citizen scientists who are interested in mycology. The group aims to monitor the presence of fungus species in the Otways and contribute to knowledge about it. We are committed to engaging the community about the role of fungi in ecosystems, building our skill capacity to identify species through education and training, conducting fungi surveys in the Otways, and increasing our understanding of mycorrhizal symbioses with trees and shrubs.
