Making a difference on public land – progress report

Good afternoon,

Please find below a link to the progress report for the ‘Weeds and Pests on Public Land Initiative’.
This report, Making a difference on public land (2007-2011), provides an update on the projects that are protecting our native plants and animals from the threat of weeds and pest animals.

Across the state, the Ark projects are protecting native animals from foxes, while the Eden projects are protecting native habitats from the impact of weeds.  Other projects support community-government partnerships to combat weeds and pest animals.

Across the Otways, the landscape-scale Otway Eden is seeking to protect the beauty and biodiversity of the region through weed control.

Working with communities and working strategically are also central to the success of these projects.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your contribution to protecting our native plants and animals.  We hope to continue to work with you and to seek opportunities for partnerships to protect Victoria’s natural environment.

If you have any queries regarding the Otway Eden project or would like to find out more about the work being undertaken please do not hesitate to contact me via this email address or on the numbers listed below.
Yours sincerely
