DPI Partnerships Officer can assist you
The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and the Victorian Serrated Tussock Working Party (VSTWP) has welcomed the new serrated tussock partnerships officer, Chelsea Wardrope to DPI Geelong.The role will establish partnerships with many key stakeholders across the Corangamite and Port Phillip Catchments particularly with Landcare and local government.
Chelsea would like to attend Landcare meetings to discuss serrated tussock and gather information on past, present and intended future management of the invasive plant which will assist DPI and the VSTWP to strategically plan and implement management techniques for the control of the invasive plant in your area.
Chelsea will be able to contribute to your understanding of serrated tussock and distribute relevant information such as funding available, up coming events and advertising opportunities for you. She will be involved in distributing the ‘Tussock Times’ newsletter bimonthly broadly across the state which is an opportunity for you to advertise any upcoming events such as field days.
